CLIENT: Engage Works London / Dubai. Produced by: Lucy Dawson.

WHAT WE DID: Storyboard, pre-shoot animatic, direction (in Dubai), editing, compositing and motion graphics.

Khalaf Ahmad al-Habtoor is a prominent UAE businessman and public figure. He is Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group - one of the most successful conglomerates in the Gulf. Engage Works London / Dubai were asked to design the interior of his new museum in Dubai. Engage Works designed many innovative digital spaces within the museum. We were asked to take the lead in producing a movie that was to be featured in the central area within the museum. The movie was a brief introduction and history of Khalaf Ahmad al-Habtoor. The concept was based on a series of double exposure vignettes, taking us from his early childhood right through to his present day successes.

The final sequence.

The sequence broken down into the three stages > pre-vis > rushes > final composite.

THE SPACE: Central to the museum is an area enclosed by two semi-circular walls. On each wall is a section of Christie micro tiles making up 4k areas on each. Our movie is split across the two walls creating a wrap around effect.

The particle system was built in Cinema 4D using X-Particles.

Some shots from the shoot in Dubai and some style frames.
