Studio Wallop's Geospatial Animation capabilities and software used.

We use a combination of scripts, plugins and software to create and animate geospatial motion graphics and animation. The main tool we use in Adobe After Effects is GEOlayers 2. This allows us to create an animate custom maps directly inside of After Effects. Combined with another plugin (Trapcode Mir) we can create 3d landscapes and animations. GEOlayers 2 also allows us to  import datasets in .csv or .tsv file format to visualise and animate large datasets.

Inside of Cinema 4D we use a plugin called DEM Earth. This allows up to generate dynamic digital elevation models and georeference them in real-time using world imagery.

Some of the features:

World File Import – import industry standard World files.

ASC height Import – Embed super high res height, commercial DEM or DSM data, directly into DEM Earth, using industry standard ASC format (*Esri Grid, WGS84 geographic )

Direct ASC import – creation of super accurate, non-interpolated, high resolution landscape data into Cinema4D.

Plus combining these tools with all other motion graphics techniques allows us to create concept driven and dynamic maps and environments.
